Ontario International Airport (ONT) has once again secured the second position among medium-sized airports in the JD Power 2026 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. The airport achieved a customer satisfaction score of 705, just seven points shy of the top spot. Notably, ONT ranked first in two critical categories: Arrival/From Airport Experience and level of trust.
Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority, Atif Elkadi, expressed pride in the airport's achievements, stating, "Passengers are telling us they trust ONT, they value the experience we provide, and they feel the difference when they travel through our airport." Elkadi emphasised the importance of the airport's culture and the collective commitment of its employees and partners in maintaining high standards.
The JD Power study evaluates passenger satisfaction across seven dimensions, including ease of travel, airport staff, and the food, beverage, and retail experience. ONT's consistent ranking underscores its dedication to its expanding customer base, with passenger volumes increasing by 75% since 2016. The airport is on track to serve over 7 million travellers this year.
As ONT approaches a decade under local ownership, Elkadi highlighted the airport's commitment to growth without compromising the customer experience. "We're incredibly proud to be No 2 again. But we're not building ONT to be second best," he remarked, reaffirming the aspiration to deliver the best airport experience in North America.
