The PATA Nepal Chapter and Nepal Tourism Board have signed an agreement to jointly host the 6th Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM 2026), scheduled for 1 to 4 June 2026 at The Plaza in Lalitpur, Kathmandu Valley. This collaboration aims to bolster Nepal's status as a leading global tourism destination.
HTM 2026 is set to be Nepal's premier international B2B travel and tourism trade event, bringing together global buyers, sellers, industry experts, media, influencers, and tourism stakeholders. The event will provide a dynamic platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities.
The agreement was signed by Deepak Raj Joshi from the Nepal Tourism Board and Narendra Bhatta, General Secretary and HTM Convener, from the PATA Nepal Chapter. Under the terms, the Nepal Tourism Board will act as the "Organising Partner," offering strategic coordination, facilitation, and financial support for international delegates. Meanwhile, the PATA Nepal Chapter will oversee the planning, promotion, and execution of the event.
HTM 2026 will feature a comprehensive programme, including pre-event familiarisation tours to key destinations such as Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Lumbini, and Sindhupalchowk. The event will also include the HTM Insight Forum, conference sessions, B2B meetings, networking events, and cultural experiences for international delegates.
This ongoing partnership between the Nepal Tourism Board and PATA Nepal Chapter underscores their commitment to enhancing Nepal's global tourism visibility and creating significant business opportunities within the industry. The Himalayan Travel Mart continues to position Nepal as the "Gateway to the Himalayas" and a destination for a "Lifetime Experience," promoting the country's diverse tourism offerings and fostering international collaboration
