Philippine Airlines (PAL) has bolstered its fleet with the arrival of its third Airbus A350-1000, registered RP-C3512, as part of its ongoing fleet modernisation and long-haul growth strategy. The aircraft, which arrived in Manila from Airbus' delivery centre in Toulouse, France, will soon enter commercial service following regulatory and operational preparations.
The A350-1000 is PAL's flagship for long-haul operations, offering the latest in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins. It boasts improved fuel efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and increased cargo capacity compared to older models. Notably, PAL remains the only airline in Southeast Asia operating the Airbus A350-1000.
This new aircraft will debut on the Manila–San Francisco route starting 5 August 2026, initially flying on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, before transitioning to daily services in September. This expansion aims to enhance PAL’s premium long-haul travel offerings.
RP-C3512 is the third of nine A350-1000s ordered by PAL in 2023. At the recent Farnborough International Airshow, PAL announced further orders for nine more A350-1000s and 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for five additional units of each type. These acquisitions underscore PAL's commitment to modernising its fleet and expanding its international network.
Founded in 1941, Philippine Airlines is the Philippines' flag carrier and Asia's first commercial airline, connecting the nation to global destinations for over 85 years
