About Anita Chan

Started her career in managerial capacity with Four Seasons Hotels, Delta Hotels Corporate office in Toronto in the digital and revenue department, Anita then moved to the vendor side as Vice President, Marketing & Account Management for VIP International in Calgary, Canada. VIP International (later named as VANTIS) was the second largest reservation service provider worldwide, providing reservations services to over 2,000 hotels.

When VIP (VANTIS) was sold, Anita moved on to work as Vice President, Asia Pacific, later promoted as Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing for Open World in Bath, U.K. Open World was the number one digital marketing agency for the hospitality industry and its clients included well-known and luxury brands such as the Peninsula, IHG, Raffles, etc.

After Open World, Anita worked for Orbitz Worldwide, the #2 Online Travel Agency (OTA) at the time as Regional Director. Anita has extensive knowledge both from the West & the East, the hotel side & the vendor side and now the OTA side.

Anita then moved on to work for Small Luxury Hotels as Vice President Asia Pacific to select the best small luxury hotels to reach the luxury travelers.

Currently, Anita is appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Compass Edge Ltd (www.compass-edge.com) that provides online distribution and marketing services and China-Ready strategy to independent hotels. Anita leads the company to focus on the booming Chinese FIT outbound market to become a niche provider in this area and co-founded LN Global Hotel Alliance in 2018 with Ling Nan Hospitality alongside with China Southern Airline and GZL (广之旅) Travel Services to cross-sell travel experiences online & offline to 46 Million+ loyalty members in China on the one-of-a-kind alliance loyalty program.

Anita obtained the MBA with University of Western Ontario, Ivey Business School in Canada and now finished her doctoral degree in business research with University of NewCastle in Australia.
