Ras Al Khaimah ushered in 2026 with a dazzling New Year’s Eve celebration, setting a new Guinness World Records title for the largest aerial display of a phoenix formed by drones. The 15-minute spectacle featured 2,300 drones, including 1,000 pyro drones, creating a breathtaking phoenix in the night sky above the emirate's waterfront.
The event, which highlighted Ras Al Khaimah's spirit of renewal and ambition, captivated thousands of spectators across beachfront resorts and the New Year’s Eve Festival. The drone show was followed by a six-kilometre-long fireworks display, stretching from Marjan Island to Al Hamra, with fireworks erupting in synchronised waves of colour and sound.

Phillipa Harrison, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), expressed the significance of the event: “New Year’s Eve in Ras Al Khaimah is about bringing people together. With this year’s show, we wanted to create a celebration that could be shared by our entire community and everyone visiting Ras Al Khaimah at this special time.”

This achievement adds to Ras Al Khaimah's legacy of record-breaking displays, reinforcing its status as a premier destination for innovative New Year’s Eve celebrations. The emirate continues to draw visitors with its commitment to creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of community.
