RBH confirms plan to open new hotel in Edinburgh

Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH) has confirmed it will manage the upcoming Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West hotel undertaken by Polcom Developments. The hotel is expected to open summer 2017.

Edinburgh

The new 160-bedroom modular build hotel will be sited on the Heriot Watt University Campus in Edinburgh, located next to Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre.

The hotel will boast a bar, bistro and market shop alongside three meeting rooms and private dining.

RBH already has a further four properties within its portfolio in Edinburgh, including the Princes Street Suites, the Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh, DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh and Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre, will manage the hotel once complete.

Ross Morrow, RBH’s chief development officer, said: “Edinburgh is the UK’s most popular visitor destination outside of London. With hotel occupancy at an all-time high, managing a hotel that will bring an extra 160 bedrooms to the city – the new Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West – will be an exciting addition to the RBH portfolio. We are delighted to be working with Polcom Group on the project, which will be the first of many in our ongoing partnership.”
