RMS, a prominent hospitality platform, has announced a new integration with Salto, a global smart access provider, to streamline access management for hotels, motels, serviced flats, and short-term rentals. This collaboration aims to simplify the guest experience by integrating reservation and access control systems into a single workflow.
Traditionally, managing guest access involved multiple systems, leading to inefficiencies and increased administrative tasks. The integration with Salto KS, Saltoโs cloud-based access control solution, allows RMS users to issue digital mobile keys directly from the reservation screen. These mobile keys, delivered via the Salto app, enable guests to unlock doors using their smartphones. This system also manages access to shared amenities such as gyms and pools, all from within the RMS platform.
The integration enhances security through real-time key management and access logs, eliminating the need for manual key handovers. This allows staff to focus more on service, whilst guests benefit from mobile check-in and keyless room entry.
