A recent YouGov survey commissioned by Royal Caribbean reveals that 66% of Singapore travellers are drawn to the idea of multi-destination cruise holidays in Europe. This interest coincides with the debut of Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas, part of the Icon Class, offering Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona and Rome.

The survey highlights that 91% of Singaporeans find parts of their travel journey stressful, with flight delays, luggage management, and long layovers being the top challenges. Cruises offer a solution, with 51% appreciating the inclusion of meals and entertainment, and the same percentage valuing the reduced need to pack and unpack between destinations.

Ben Bouldin, President, Greater China and Managing Director, Asia, Royal Caribbean, noted, “Travellers value making the most of their time when exploring Europe. Multi-destination cruising continues to resonate because it offers seamless, enriching, and adventurous holidays.”

The survey also found that cruise travel is gaining popularity as a preferred mode of intra-European transport, ranking above trains and short-haul flights. Italy emerged as the top European destination of interest, with 47% of respondents keen to visit.

Legend of the Seas enhances the travel experience by integrating entertainment and leisure activities onboard, such as America’s Got Talent LIVE and the Surfside Neighbourhood for families. Dining experiences like the Royal Railway – Legend Station also add to the allure, offering immersive culinary journeys.

With the growing appeal of European cruises, Royal Caribbean's offerings provide a convenient and enjoyable way for Singaporeans to explore multiple destinations without the usual travel hassles
