The comparison tool uses metasearch technology to help travellers find package holiday deals from leading providers. It also connects these providers with Skyscanner’s more than 160 million monthly users.
The expansion adds new providers, including British Airways Holidays, Sembo and AirNGo. They join established brands such as TUI, Jet2 and Expedia. Skyscanner first launched the product in the UK and Germany earlier this year. It plans to enter more markets by 2027.
The company also reports a 19% increase in demand for package holidays during peak booking periods.
“Finding the best travel deal shouldn't feel like another chore, so we want to offer travellers the very best options for their holiday. Since launching, our package comparison product has been incredibly popular with holidaymakers,” said Catriona King, Global VP of Commercial at Skyscanner.
The expansion aims to bring greater price transparency and choice to the traditional package holiday market. Skyscanner is applying its technology and pricing data to help travellers compare options and simplify holiday planning.
King said the company wants to shake up the traditional travel sector by making package holiday comparisons easier and reducing the stress of planning.
With 91 million package holidays searched daily on Skyscanner, the expanded platform also gives travel providers an opportunity to reach a large audience of travellers actively looking for holiday deals.
