TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

Starhotels is set to spotlight Italian craftsmanship at three prestigious events this autumn: Homo Faber and Venice Glass Week in Venice, and Artigianato e Palazzo in Florence. The La Grande Bellezza Award, part of the Homo Faber event, will feature ten finalist works at Hotel Gabrielli Venezia, showcasing the intersection of aesthetics and functionality in Italian craftsmanship. The winner will receive a $10,000 (€10,000) prize, with the exhibition open to the public until 16 October 2026.

The Venice Glass Week will see Hotel Gabrielli Venezia open its doors to display over 700 Murano chandeliers and wall sconces, including pieces by renowned glassmakers Archimede Seguso and Pauly & C. These works, meticulously restored, highlight the hotel's connection to Venetian craftsmanship.

In Florence, the Artigianato e Palazzo event will feature "Natura Aurea," an exhibition by ceramic artist Antonietta Mazzotti Emaldi. Her works, inspired by mythology and nature, will be displayed in the Limonaia Grandi Maestri, showcasing the fusion of traditional Faenza ceramic techniques with contemporary artistry.

Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels, emphasised the importance of these events in promoting Italian craftsmanship. "Offering them opportunities for visibility and new stages on which to present their work is part of the cultural responsibility we embrace as a Group," she stated.

These events underscore Starhotels' commitment to preserving and promoting Italian craftsmanship, providing artisans with platforms to gain international recognition and support
