Accor becomes Australia’s second biggest employer after USD 1.2 billion acquisition of Mantra Group
Recent weeks have seen a flurry of deals and acquisitions from the French multinational and industry juggernaut Accor. May alone saw the USD 105 million purchase of Chilean hotel group, Atton Hoteles; April concluded with the sensational buy-up of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts -- for a cool USD 567 million, on top of successful deals for a 50% interest in Mantis Group and the full acquisition of table reservation platform, ResDiary.

It’s just been weeks since AccorHotels bought Switzerland’s Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts for US$567 million, but the French hotel giant is not done yet, expanding its portfolio as it acquired Chile’s Atton Hoteles for US$105m.
