Hospitality guest acquisition specialist SiteMinder, has announced the delivery of its 100 millionth online hotel booking of 2019 — marking the first time a cloud-based platform has processed more than 100 million hotel bookings in a calendar year.
The booking for a one-night stay at Hotel Chelsea in Köln, Germany, completes another monumental year for SiteMinder which also saw the independent, privately-owned company surpass AUS 100 million in annual recurring revenue in May.
The 100 millionth booking, valued at EUR 94.14 in revenue and delivered to Hotel Chelsea at 0631 CET on 8 December, takes the total revenue generated through SiteMinder’s platform this year to USD 32.5 billion. Completed through Expedia, the booking for a double room will accommodate a family of four guests three nights prior to Christmas.
