TransNusa has announced the launch of a new direct flight connecting Bali and Phuket, two of Asia's premier holiday destinations.

This new service, which began ticket sales on 3 July, aims to boost tourism and strengthen economic ties between Indonesia and Thailand. The flights will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The introduction of the Bali-Phuket route is part of TransNusa's strategy to expand its international connectivity and establish Bali as a key hub. The airline's CEO, Bernard Francis, highlighted that this move supports tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two nations. "This new route between Bali and Phuket was established to boost tourism in the region and to further strengthen TransNusa's hub in Bali," he stated.

TransNusa's new service is expected to attract a diverse range of travellers, including holidaymakers, families, and digital nomads, seeking unique experiences in Southeast Asia. Beyond leisure travel, the route is anticipated to facilitate business travel and foster closer connections between the two countries.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering 174 seats. TransNusa provides various service packages, including SEAT, SEATPLUS, and FLEXIPRO, each with different benefits such as increased baggage allowance and flexible booking options.

This launch follows TransNusa's recent announcement of a new Jakarta-Bangkok route, further expanding its international offerings. The airline plans to introduce more international and domestic routes by the end of 2026, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity
