TransNusa has announced the launch of a new direct flight route from Jakarta to Bangkok, marking a significant expansion of its international network. This new route aims to strengthen connectivity between two major Southeast Asian hubs, catering to both business and tourism travellers. Alongside this, TransNusa has also introduced domestic routes from Bali to Wakatobi and Waingapu, enhancing travel flexibility within Indonesia.

The airline, which prides itself on being the first to introduce a direct flight from Bali to Wakatobi, is responding to the growing demand for travel between Indonesia and Thailand. "The much-awaited new route introduction from Jakarta to Bangkok, as well as from Bali to Wakatobi and Waingapu, will further strengthen TransNusa's international and domestic connectivity network," said TransNusa Group CEO Bernard Francis.

Tickets for these routes are now available, with prices starting at $167.54 (US$167.54) for Jakarta to Bangkok, $103.30 (US$103.30) for Bali to Wakatobi, and $75.36 (US$75.36) for Bali to Waingapu. The Jakarta-Bangkok route will operate two daily flights, whilst the Bali-Wakatobi and Bali-Waingapu routes will have three and four weekly flights, respectively.

TransNusa's expansion is part of a broader strategy to improve accessibility across Southeast Asia. The airline will utilise its Airbus A320 for international routes and COMAC C909 for domestic flights. This development underscores TransNusa's commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and supporting tourism and trade between Indonesia and Thailand
