Trip.com Group has launched a new bundled booking feature for hotels in the Maldives, enhancing travel personalisation and convenience for global travellers. Unveiled at an event supported by the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) at Crossroads Maldives, this feature allows customers to book hotel stays alongside curated add-on services such as speedboat transport, recreational activities, and dining experiences.
The feature, available on Ctrip and Trip.com, aims to provide a more holistic travel planning experience by integrating accommodation with customisable travel experiences. "We're excited to introduce a more intuitive way for travellers to plan their trips," said Ru Yi, Assistant Vice President, International Markets, APAC. This innovation, known as Hotel X, empowers hotel partners to package room inventory with value-added services, enhancing their offerings and revenue streams.
Coinciding with the launch is the "One Island One Life" campaign, running from 11 to 24 May 2026, which showcases the Maldives' beauty with special offers, including up to 45% off at select resorts. Travellers can book Hotel X packages during this period, with travel validity through 30 November 2026.
The Maldives continues to see robust demand from international travellers, particularly from China, Korea, Italy, the UK, and Germany. January 2026 saw a rise in arrivals to 224,788, and February recorded a 15.7% increase compared to the previous year. The Kaafu region remains the leading destination, accounting for 43.1% of tourist volume. This new feature by Trip.com Group is set to further bolster the Maldives' appeal as a top travel destination
