Turkish Airlines has signed an agreement with HAVELSAN to acquire 12 new flight simulators, including eight Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and four Flight Training Devices (FTD). This move aligns with the airline's strategic goal to expand its fleet to over 800 aircraft by 2033. The simulators, developed and manufactured in Türkiye, will enhance Turkish Airlines' training capacity at its simulator hangars and the upcoming Flight Training Centre, set to open in 2028.

The agreement marks a significant step in advancing Turkish Airlines' pilot training capabilities, integrating high-tech domestic solutions. Prof. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, stated, "With these new orders, by 2033 the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Centre will become one of Europe's largest flight training centres across three campuses." This initiative will not only meet the airline's needs but also offer training services to other airlines.

HAVELSAN General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar highlighted the importance of this partnership, noting it as a milestone in entering the wide-body flight simulation field. The airline currently uses simulators for Airbus A320NEO/CEO and Boeing 737 models, all manufactured by HAVELSAN and certified to EASA Level D standards.
