Turkish Airlines has entered into a multi-year agreement with CAE, a leader in aviation training technologies, to acquire five full-flight simulators (FFS) and two flight training devices (FTD), with an option for two additional FFSs. This deal, announced at the Farnborough Airshow, aims to bolster the airline's pilot training capacity as part of its 10-year flight training investment plan.

The agreement aligns with Turkish Airlines' strategy to expand its fleet and improve its training infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies. The new simulators will be integrated into the airline's upcoming Flight Training Centre, which began construction in January and is expected to be fully operational by 2028. The centre's simulator hangars are set to open in 2027.

Prof. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, stated, "As we continue to expand our fleet and global network, further strengthening our pilot training infrastructure is essential to supporting our long-term growth strategy." He emphasised that the collaboration with CAE will enhance pilot preparation across various fleet types, ensuring high safety and operational standards."

The contract includes simulators for Airbus and Boeing aircraft, specifically two A321neo FFS, two B787 FFS, one A350 FFS, and two A350 Level-1 FTDs, with optional simulators for the A350 and B787 models.
