Filipino travellers flying with Emirates can now benefit from a pre-approved 14-day visit entry permit to the UAE, facilitated by VFS Global.
This follows the UAE's decision to extend visa-on-arrival privileges to qualified Filipino nationals. The service is available to those with a confirmed return or onward Emirates ticket and a valid residence permit from select countries, including Australia, Canada, and the UK.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing travel convenience, applies to nationals from South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Kenya, and Vietnam. Eligible travellers must plan to stay in the UAE for more than 48 hours and up to 14 days, with entry scheduled within 30 days of application. The permit is exclusively for Emirates passengers, reinforcing the airline's role in facilitating international travel to the UAE.
Jiten Vyas, Chief Commercial Officer of VFS Global, stated, “This initiative marks a significant step forward in enhancing the travel experience for visitors to the UAE. By leveraging our long-standing partnership with Emirates and our digital capabilities, we are enabling a faster, more seamless visa application process.”
VFS Global, the official visa service provider for Emirates since 2002, offers a streamlined application process through its Dubai Visa Processing Centre platform. This development underscores the UAE's commitment to simplifying entry procedures and enhancing its status as a global tourism and business hub
