United Airlines has unveiled plans for its largest international expansion, introducing 10 new cities to its network by 2027. This strategic move includes destinations such as Okinawa, Japan; Toulouse, France; and Ibiza, Spain, amongst others. The announcement was made at Newark Liberty International Airport, highlighting United's commitment to expanding its global reach.

The airline will also debut its newest aircraft, the 'Born to Explore' Airbus A321XLR, which will serve several of these new routes. This aircraft features lie-flat seats in United Polaris and Economy Plus seats with extra space. United CEO Scott Kirby stated, "We offer the most flights across the Atlantic and Pacific, and Newark is the best Atlantic gateway in the country."

In addition to the new cities, United will introduce new routes from Los Angeles to Osaka, Washington, D.C. to Milan, and Denver to Paris. The airline will also resume flights from San Francisco to Tel Aviv.

Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, remarked, "We've added flights to nearly 60 new international cities in the last decade."

The expansion underscores United's position as the largest carrier across the Atlantic and Pacific, with more than 160 international destinations.
