United Airlines has announced the launch of a new inflight entertainment channel featuring content from NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock. Starting 1 May, passengers can enjoy a selection of critically acclaimed series such as "The Traitors" and "All Her Fault" on over 160,000 seatback screens and personal devices via the United mobile app.
The introduction of the Peacock channel is part of United's ongoing investment in its inflight entertainment offerings, which now include over 1,600 hours of content. Dominic Green, Director of Inflight Entertainment at United Airlines, stated, "With these popular series from Peacock, we're introducing a standout line-up of widely recognised series to our seatback screens and personal device entertainment, further strengthening our premium inflight entertainment offering."
United's entertainment library already boasts more than 450 films, over 1,000 TV episodes, and a variety of international titles and podcasts. The airline is also leading the industry with Bluetooth audio-enabled seatback screens on more than 800 aircraft and is rolling out new planes equipped with 27-inch, 4K OLED screens.
This expansion underscores United's commitment to providing a premium onboard experience, offering one of the most extensive selections of entertainment content among US airlines. The new Peacock channel will regularly update its offerings, with additional titles like "The Copenhagen Test" and "Ponies" expected in June
