Ural Airlines connects Moscow to London Stansted

London Stansted Airport has gained its first scheduled service to Moscow with flights by Russian carrier Ural Airlines. The new four-times a week service is using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The airline carries almost ten million passengers a year across 200 destinations with a fleet of 46 aircraft. Aboudy Nasser, chief commercial officer at Stansted Airport said: “The flight from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport to London Stansted will provide convenient and cost-effective direct access for the very first time.”

Kirill Skuratov, chief commercial officer of Ural Airlines said: “We look forward to working with Stansted to make this new partnership a great success. We hope the route is popular with passengers and leads to further growth and more opportunities in the future.”

When it comes to low-cost airlines, London Stansted is the busiest in the capital with 200 short-haul destinations across 40 countries serving 28 million passengers a year.
