Villa Argentina reopens after extensive renovation

Villa Argentina, a historic hotel in Dubrovnik, has reopened today following a comprehensive renovation. Situated near the city's Old Town, the hotel now combines contemporary Croatian architecture with its preserved cultural and artistic heritage, offering stunning views of the Adriatic Sea.

The renovation covered over 10,000 square metres and, alongside Villa Orsula, the complex now features 109 rooms and suites. This transformation integrates the hotel's historic charm with luxury hospitality standards. Villa Argentina has also joined The Leading Hotels of the World, a prestigious collection of over 450 independent luxury hotels globally, enhancing its reputation in international luxury hospitality.

Philippe Andre Burq, President of the Management Board of Adriatic Luxury Hotels, stated, "Villa Argentina has been part of Dubrovnik's identity and Croatia's luxury tourism offering for decades. With this renovation, we wanted to preserve its unique architecture, artistic heritage and connection to the Dubrovnik landscape."

The renovation, led by Croatian architecture studio 3LHD, carefully blends the hotel's artistic and architectural heritage with modern design. Notably, the 1967 mosaic Dubrovačke varijacije by Ivo Dulčić has been restored to its original location. The interiors reflect Dubrovnik's architectural tradition, using natural materials like stone and wood, whilst approximately 14,000 plants have been integrated into the landscape.

Villa Argentina's reopening marks a significant investment in Croatia's luxury tourism sector, promising guests a unique experience that combines authentic Dubrovnik character with exceptional service.
