Visit Finland is offering a unique opportunity for international travellers to experience the serene Finnish Lakeland this June. As part of the "Chill Like a Finn" challenge, participants can win an all-expenses-paid, week-long trip to immerse themselves in the Finnish way of holidaying. To enter, applicants must post a short video on Instagram or TikTok, introducing themselves and explaining what a Finnish summer escape means to them, and complete an application form on the Visit Finland website.
The initiative aims to showcase the Finnish lifestyle, which has contributed to Finland being named the world's happiest country for eight consecutive years. Heli Jimenez, Senior Director of International Marketing at Business Finland, emphasised that Lakeland is a hidden gem where Finns retreat to relax and recharge. "It’s the perfect destination for anyone looking to step away from the noise of everyday life," Jimenez said.
The Finnish Lakeland, Europe's largest lake district, offers a tranquil environment with activities such as lakeside saunas, forest walks, and local food experiences. The challenge invites six duos to discover this peaceful lifestyle, promoting a slower pace amidst modern life's chaos.
Applications close on 29 March 2026, and full details are available on ChillLikeaFinn.com. This initiative not only highlights Finland's natural beauty but also aims to attract tourists seeking meaningful and restorative travel experiences
