Visit Qatar recently hosted a familiarisation trip for nine leading Indian MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) agents from 1 to 4 October 2026. The programme aimed to provide these professionals with a comprehensive understanding of Qatar's business events infrastructure and hospitality offerings, as India remains a key source market for Qatar's MICE sector.

The itinerary included site inspections of prominent hotels and event venues such as Raffles Doha, Fairmont Doha, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort, and The Plaza Doha. Participants also enjoyed cultural experiences, including a dhow cruise, a desert safari, and visits to the National Museum of Qatar, Souq Waqif, and Katara Cultural Village. These activities highlighted the diverse options available to complement corporate and incentive programmes.

During their stay, the Indian delegation engaged with Visit Qatar's MICE team to exchange market insights and explore support for future events in Qatar. This engagement aimed to strengthen ties between the Indian MICE industry and Qatar's tourism sector, generating qualified leads and creating opportunities for future business.

The familiarisation trip not only showcased Qatar's capabilities as a MICE destination but also provided participants with valuable insights to inform future recommendations to their clients. Visit Qatar continues to promote the country as a leading MICE destination, enhancing its global presence and advancing the growth of its tourism sector
