West Hollywood Hotels 2018

By Christian Tolentino On Jan 17, 2018

California, USA – Los Angeles captured a record number of visitor arrivals reaching 48.3 million. It’s not surprising that the city of West Hollywood has an abundance of new hotels while some are getting makeovers.

Located at the base of the Hollywood Hills and adjacent to Beverly Hills, West Hollywood is a walkable city in the heart of Los Angeles. It’s comprised of three main districts: the world-famous Sunset Strip with unparalleled nightlife, the eclectic and LGBTQ-friendly Santa Monica Boulevard, and the Design District, known for its sought-after shopping and dining.

Here are some of the best hotels to visit in the area:

Kimpton La Peer Hotel

Kimpton La Peer Hotel

Opening this January, Kimpton La Peer Hotel is located in the heart of the city’s lively Design District.

La Peer signals “unbuttoned luxury” with its chic European-styled rooms, complete with white oak herringbone floors, a calming colour palette and deep soaking baths. It’s an intimate place with just 105 guestrooms and suites, and a pool that’s refreshingly casual – accented with Gaudi tiles, shady olive trees and a vertical garden wall. Step out the front door for exclusive shopping celebrating cutting-edge clothing, eclectic art and forward-thinking design.

Guests can immerse themselves in the California lifestyle with yoga mats in every room, on-site fitness classes with resident trainer Marco Reed and enjoy some of the hotel’s exclusive partnerships with local businesses including Bikes & Hikes LA.

Guests can expect room service reimagined with custom picnic baskets, a complete bath menu with butler service, and In-Room Bottle Service for craft cocktails. The highly anticipated Viale Dei Romani, a signature-dining concept created by Chef Casey Lane will feature a courtyard bar and an emphasis on wood-fired seafood, vegetables and handmade pasta.

Rates from $450 / £330 per night.

The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills

The London West Hollywood will debut an $11 million makeover this January, highlighted by a posh new London Bar, an enhanced Boxwood restaurant and a stylishly transformed rooftop pool deck.

Since opening in April 2008, the award-winning London West Hollywood has personified the essence of its namesake cities, embodying both the cosmopolitan elegance of London with a laid-back California cool, to become one of the most sought-after hotels in Los Angeles.

The redesign, which also includes enhanced meeting spaces and guestroom suites, has been conceptualised to preserve the heart of what has made the property so successful in its first decade while providing fresh features and improvements designed to further elevate the guest experience.

Rates from $260 / £189 per night.

Formerly known as Le Montrose Suite Hotel, the Montrose West Hollywood will reveal its renovation in the summer of 2018.

The 133 expansive suites and public spaces will “celebrate Hollywood’s past and present music industry while incorporating eclectic furniture, lighting, and art pieces that provide a memorable, distinctive design with residential scale,” says Maggie Jackson of Rose Public Relations.

Designed by Perkins+Will, Montrose will feature a new “upscale urban vibe, inspiring artists and entertainers seeking a place that feels like home in West Hollywood”.

Rates from $220 / £160 per night.

Within a stone’s throw of Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards, The Chamberlain’s redesign and signature restaurant serving “New American cuisine” are set to be complete in the summer of 2018 and it’s shaping up to be another gem in the portfolio of OLS Hotels & Resorts.

The Chamberlain West Hollywood’s new lobby and 115 spacious suites will feel like a chic home away from home with monochromatic tones, carefully curated art pieces, and luxe velvet and leather furniture.

Rates from $220 / £160 per night.

The Jeremy West Hollywood

Over the course of 2018, The Jeremy West Hollywood Hotel will transform into the 1 West Hollywood and become the fourth property in the award-winning eco-conscious luxury sustainable brand created by Starwood Capital.

Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the property will open in August as The Jeremy Hotel. Located on the corner of La Cienega and Sunset Boulevard, the hotel presents a very distinctive metal cladding in its exterior with its prominent hilltop location allowing for unobstructed breathtaking views from most rooms, ranging from Santa Monica to Downtown LA.

The 286 room hotel features 50 suites, including two Penthouse Suites, a pool, fitness centre, two large conference rooms and meetings and event space (totalling approximately 10,000 sq. ft.), a spectacular rooftop bar and lounge with 360 views, a café, restaurant and lobby bar.

Rates from $398 / £288 per night.
