Xiamen Airlines: Ingenico understands the “unique requirements and opportunities” of a growing airline

Xiamen Airlines, a subsidiary of China Southen Airlines, has announced a partnership deal with electronic payments specialists Ingenico, to develop the carrier’s online transactions framework.

According to the airline’s official statement, the deal with Igenico was made in order to maintain growth, simplify their payment operations, which have become increasingly complex as the Xiamen expands into new markets, beyond China and that it is “increasingly important to offer consumers a localized shopping experience” that includes payment options in their preferred currency and with local payment methods.

French firm Ingenico was selected by the airlines because of its competitive full-service model which includes with a large portfolio of card and alternative payment method options, and extensive network of local acquirers and strong regional expertise and experience of doing business in China.
