G Adventures recognised as best Inca trail tour operator

Small-group adventure tour operator G Adventures has received the Best Inca Trail Tour Operator award from the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Cusco (RDFTTC).

Machu Pichu tourist numbers are on the rise

“It’s a huge honour to be recognised as the top Inca Trail operator by the Regional Government of Cusco. I’m incredibly proud of our G family based in Cusco who deliver excellence every day,” said G Adventures’ founder, Bruce Poon Tip.

“The Inca Trail is one of our most popular trips globally and each year we take 10,000 travellers on the popular trek to witness the wonder of Machu Picchu. We’re committed to leading with service and delivering the best possible experience, while empowering local communities in the region through our G for Good projects.”

The application process included interviews with RDFTTC, an examination of G Adventures’ Inca Trail operations, and a presentation by the operator’s Cusco team. The award recognises outstanding service, safety, technical operations and ethical business practices.

G Adventures’ Inca Trail operation employs more than 560 local people including guides, porters, cooks, drivers and office staff, and G Adventures offers 29 trips taking travellers on the Inca Trail.
