Delta has just raised the bar for airport lounges in the Mountain West with the opening of a brand‑new Delta Sky Club at Denver International Airport (DEN). The 13,000‑square‑foot space in Concourse A brings Colorado’s wild beauty indoors, offering seating for 230 guests, a Union Station‑inspired bar, local flavours and thoughtful design that feels more like a modern mountain lodge than an airport waiting room.

Location, Size and What’s Coming Next

Perched on the 4th floor of Concourse A, the new Denver Sky Club gives SkyMiles members and premium customers a spacious, light‑filled retreat between flights.

  • 13,000 square feet in the initial phase
  • 230 seats across a mix of lounge chairs, banquettes and work‑friendly spots
  • Two double‑sided buffets plus an expansive self‑service beverage station for coffee, tea and soft drinks
  • A premium bar inspired by downtown Denver’s Union Station and classic local taverns
  • A cozy media room with large flatscreens and low‑set banquette seating for game days or quiet screen time

By the end of the year, Delta will add another 6,000 square feet, taking the lounge to more than 19,000 square feet and around 400 total seats. The expansion will bring:

  • An additional beverage station
  • A dedicated business lounge with printers
  • Five soundproof phone booths for focused calls and remote work

Design: Colorado’s Landscapes, Reimagined Indoors

The new Sky Club is designed as a tribute to Colorado’s textures, colours and landscapes.

  • Wildflower‑inspired motifs, deep jewel tones and earthy hues echo the region’s soil and stone.
  • Live‑edge wood, rugged stone slabs and organic materials nod to the Rockies’ forests and rock faces.
  • Architectural details reference Denver’s Union Station with warm lighting, historic‑meets‑contemporary lines and an elevated tavern feel.

Art plays a starring role too. The lounge’s art collection features regional artists and Colorado‑themed scenes, from horseback riders to wide‑open plains and mountain vistas. The overall effect is a space that feels unmistakably Denver, even before you step outside the terminal.

Local Flavours: Chile Colorado, Palisade Peaches and Craft Cocktails

Delta has matched the design with an equally Colorado‑centric culinary program.

  • A seasonally inspired menu anchors the food offering, supplemented by locally rooted dishes such as Chile Colorado, prepared onsite and served as a signature staple.
  • Menus draw from Southwestern and Native American culinary traditions, spotlighting ingredients like Olathe sweet corn, Palisade peaches and Rocky Ford melon when in season.

The premium bar debuts a new cocktail list that will roll out to other Sky Clubs over time, with drinks including:

  • An Elderflower Gin & Tonic
  • A Yuzu Margarita, blending on‑trend citrus with a classic tequila base

In a bid to align with Delta’s sustainability goals, the Denver Sky Club is also transitioning away from single‑use dining materials, favouring reusable and more eco‑friendly options without sacrificing the premium feel.

Built for How Denver Travellers Actually Move

According to Claude Roussel, Vice President – Delta Sky Club & Lounge Experience, this is “one of our most thoughtful designs yet,” crafted around how Denver customers want to feel and move throughout their journey.

That shows up in details like:

  • Multiple seating zones for working, relaxing, socialising or watching a game.
  • Clear sightlines and intuitive flow between the bar, buffets, media room and quieter corners.
  • A design language that balances restorative calm with the energy of a major hub airport.

For frequent flyers connecting through Denver, it’s meant to be a premium reset point – somewhere you can answer emails, grab a local bite, recharge devices and soak up mountain views before heading to the gate.

Delta in Denver: Bigger Schedule, Smoother Journey

Delta’s new lounge lands as the airline prepares its largest‑ever schedule from Denver, with nearly 40 peak‑day flights to more than ten destinations, including Austin and all of Delta’s U.S. hubs. The Sky Club is part of a broader investment in the Mile High City’s travellers, employees and community, underscoring Denver’s importance in the network.

For SkyMiles members, Delta is also layering in tech‑enabled convenience:

  • Travellers using the Fly Delta app can breeze through security via TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID lanes, simply by storing their Known Traveler Number and passport in their SkyMiles profile and opting into Touchless ID.

What’s Next for Delta Sky Clubs

The Denver opening follows recent expansions of Delta Sky Clubs in Atlanta (ATL) and Philadelphia (PHL) and is part of a multi‑year plan to upgrade lounges across the system. Looking ahead, confirmed projects include new or enhanced Clubs at:

  • Jacksonville (JAX) in 2027
  • Tampa (TPA) in 2028
  • Las Vegas (LAS) in 2029
  • Fort Myers (RSW) with a new Sky Club slated for 2028

For premium and frequent travellers who pass through Denver regularly – or are planning a Rocky Mountain escape – the new Delta Sky Club at DEN offers a tangible upgrade: a place where Colorado’s rugged landscapes meet craft cocktails, local cuisine and a genuinely relaxing pre‑flight experience.
