MORE Collection and federal Airlines have introduced a new flight connection enabling seamless travel between Marataba Game Lodges and Lion Sands Game Reserve in South Africa. This initiative allows guests to experience two distinct safari environments in a single day, with MORE Collection covering 50% of the flight costs for those staying at least three nights at each reserve.
The partnership connects Marataba, located in the malaria-free Marakele National Park, with Lion Sands, which spans the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park. Robert More, CEO of MORE Collection, highlighted the unique offering: “Marataba and Lion Sands offer guests two completely different safari worlds... Linking them through a practical, subsidised flight connection means travel partners can now build truly immersive multi-destination itineraries.”

Nicole Schickerling, federal Airlines Commercial General Manager, emphasised the convenience: “We know how much guests value the ability to move between reserves without losing a full day to logistics. This partnership... makes that connection both practical and attractive.”
The flights operate via O.R. Tambo International Airport, with departures from Marataba at 10:30 and Lion Sands at 10:00. The journey includes a brief stopover at the airport, ensuring guests reach their destination by mid-afternoon.
This collaboration not only enhances travel convenience but also enriches the safari experience, offering guests a broader perspective of South Africa's wilderness.
