The airline has also confirmed that its Christchurch–Singapore route will operate year-round, strengthening international connectivity for the South Island.
Chief Executive Nikhil Ravishankar said: “Christchurch is an important part of Air New Zealand's future, and these new routes reflect the confidence we have here and the opportunities ahead for the South Island.”
The new Christchurch–Denpasar service will operate three times a week during the winter season until the end of August 2027. The direct route will give New Zealand travellers easier access to Bali, reducing the need for connections through other airports.
“Being able to fly direct from Christchurch means customers can spend less time connecting through other airports and more time enjoying their holiday,” Ravishankar said.
Air New Zealand has also extended its Christchurch–Singapore service to operate throughout the year. The route provides South Island travellers with access to Singapore, a major aviation hub, while making Christchurch more accessible to international visitors.
The expansion forms part of the airline’s broader plans to grow its international network from Christchurch. Proposed seasonal services to Tokyo Narita and Perth are also in development, subject to regulatory and airport approvals.
