Ritz-Carlton Pune unveils YA:LA, a Levantine dining experience

The Ritz-Carlton, Pune has opened YA:LA, a new Levantine social dining destination at Business Bay. Led by Lebanese Head Chef Mohamad Hammady, the restaurant combines Lebanese mezzes and Turkish grills in a setting inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean.

YA:LA takes its name from an Arabic expression meaning “let’s go”. The menu features dishes such as Pistachio Muhammara and Black Garlic Moutabel, alongside traditional breads including Za’atar and Olive Manakish.

An outdoor courtyard framed by olive trees and fountains sets the scene for open-fire cooking. Inside, clay-toned surfaces, handcrafted ceramics and geometric details create a warm, Levantine-inspired atmosphere.

The Travellers Table features distinctive S-shaped seating that encourages guests to share food and conversation. The design reflects the communal spirit of Levantine dining.

The bar offers a cocktail programme inspired by Mediterranean flavours. Creative combinations include tomato in a Martini and harissa with tequila. The “Find Your Pour” menu helps guests choose drinks based on their preferred flavour profiles.

Ishwinder Gill, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, said: “With YA:LA, we wanted to introduce a dining experience that brings a new energy to The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, one rooted in the generosity of Levantine hospitality, yet interpreted through a contemporary and highly social lens.”
