Hualien invites global visitors to hot spring festival

The 2026 Hualien Pacific Hot Spring Season is inviting international visitors to explore Taiwan’s East Rift Valley through 15 November. Organised by the Hualien County Government, the festival highlights the region’s mineral hot springs and natural scenery.

The event features two of Hualien’s best-known hot spring districts. Ruisui Hot Spring is famous for its iron-rich “Hero Spring”, while Antong Hot Spring is known for its clear waters, dubbed “Beauty Spring”. Both offer visitors opportunities to unwind amid the region’s natural landscapes.

The festival also features seasonal light installations, interactive augmented reality (AR) stamp-collecting games and themed weekend events. Shuttle buses connect major transport hubs with scenic attractions, making it easier for visitors to explore the area.

Beyond its hot springs, Hualien offers travellers an opportunity to experience the East Rift Valley’s landscapes and local hospitality. The festival aims to attract international visitors seeking a relaxing autumn or winter getaway while showcasing the region’s natural and cultural attractions.
