PDMF 2025: Steeped in Tradition, Rooted in Wellness

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) staged the latest edition of the PATA Destination Marketing Forum (PDMF) today, 3rd December, at The Heritage Hotel and Convention in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

This is the fifth time that Thailand has played host to the PDMF and the 2025 run puts an emphasis on the country's status as one of the world's most desirable venues for MICE.

Revolving around the theme Steeped in Tradition, Rooted in Wellness: Weaving the Meaningful Narrative of Travel, this year's PDMF seeks to enlighten tourism stakeholders with regard to sustainable and regenerative tourism in their respective countries, as well as the growing demand for wellness tourism offerings throughout the globe.

The event was formally opened by Napintom Srisunpang, minister attached to the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, who lauded PATA for recognising the potential of the country's secondary cities, and the Chiang Rai government for its readiness to host an event on such an expansive scale

Hosting over 300 global delegates, discussions and displays at the event will revolve around the evolving face of destination marketing which is greatly influenced by the growing demand for sustainable and wellness-centric attractions and amenities.
