Emirates has announced the deployment of its next-generation A350 aircraft on its third daily service to Cape Town, marking the first time this aircraft type will operate in Southern Africa. The service, commencing on 1 July 2026, will enhance travel options between South Africa and Dubai, offering passengers the full suite of Emirates' products and services, including the award-winning Premium Economy.
The introduction of the A350 to Cape Town is part of Emirates' broader strategy to expand its Premium Economy offering to nine new cities and increase frequencies to existing destinations. Afzal Parambil, Emirates' Regional Manager of Southern Africa, highlighted the significance of this deployment, stating, “South Africa becomes the only African nation on our network to be served by all three aircraft types on the Emirates fleet.”

In addition to Cape Town, Emirates will also deploy the A350 on new daily services to Copenhagen and Phuket, starting 1 June and 1 July, respectively. These routes are strategically timed to meet the anticipated surge in winter travel demand, providing seamless connections to popular destinations via Dubai.
The airline's expansion includes additional flights and capacity to Copenhagen, Phuket, and Cape Town, with the A350 featuring the latest Business and Economy Class cabins. Emirates' double daily Cape Town service has seen consistently high load factors, particularly during peak periods, with strong inbound demand from the GCC and outbound traffic to Europe and the US East Coast.
Tickets for these services can be booked through Emirates' website, app, or travel agents. The airline's commitment to enhancing its network underscores its focus on delivering a premium and consistent experience across its routes.
