Emirates, the world's largest international airline, and Air Peace, West Africa's largest airline, have activated a bilateral interline agreement to expand air connectivity between Africa, the UAE, and London. This agreement, announced on 26 January 2026, allows passengers to enjoy seamless single-ticket travel and through-checked baggage on select routes, enhancing travel comfort and convenience.
The enhanced interline agreement now enables travellers to connect with additional destinations such as Banjul in Gambia, Dakar in Senegal, Freetown in Sierra Leone, and Monrovia in Liberia. These new gateways allow more passengers in Africa to access Emirates' world-class services and extensive global network. Air Peace will connect its West and Central African routes to Emirates' hub in Dubai and key destinations including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated, "Enhancing our interline partnership with Air Peace allows us to expand our footprint across more of Africa, creating new opportunities for people to fly better with Emirates." Nowel Ngala, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace, added, "This interline agreement with Emirates represents a major step in Air Peace's strategic vision to connect Africa more efficiently to global markets."
Emirates operates a Boeing 777-300ER on its Dubai-Lagos route, offering passengers a luxurious travel experience. Meanwhile, Air Peace, with a fleet of over 50 aircraft, continues to strengthen intra-African connectivity and support economic development across the continent. Tickets for the interline routes can be booked on the airlines' websites or via travel agents.
