Greater Bay Airlines launches Hohhot flights in February

Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) will commence a new scheduled service to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, on 6 February 2026, enhancing its presence in the Chinese Mainland. The airline will operate four roundtrip flights weekly between Hong Kong and Hohhot Baita International Airport.

Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia, is renowned for its blend of grassland culture and modern urban life, earning it the nickname "Grassland City." The city, with over 2,300 years of history, is recognised as a National Historic and Cultural City by the State Council and a top tourist destination by the National Tourism Administration. Attractions include Dazhao Temple, Xilituzhao Temple, and the Chilechuan Grassland, located just 20 kilometres from the city centre.

The flight schedule for the Hong Kong to Hohhot route includes departures from Hong Kong at 13:55, arriving in Hohhot at 17:00 on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays, with a slight variation on Wednesdays. Return flights from Hohhot depart at 17:55, arriving in Hong Kong at 21:20, with a minor adjustment on 6 February.

GBA, a value carrier based in Hong Kong, began operations in July 2022. It currently offers flights to various destinations, including Bangkok, Taipei, and Tokyo, using a fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-9 aircraft. For bookings, customers can visit the GBA website, use the mobile app, or contact travel agents.
