TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

The HYPER JAPAN Festival 2026 is set to host an innovative concert experience led by pianist Kae Ogawa, CEO of Early Music Enterprise Inc. This unique performance, taking place at Olympia London from 24 to 26 July, will combine historical instruments, narration, and media art to bring to life two iconic Japanese stories: the tale of Lady Rokujō from The Tale of Genji and the dramatic life of artist Katsushika Hokusai.

The concert will transform illustrated scrolls and historic masterpieces into dynamic visual art, offering audiences a vivid portrayal of these classic narratives. A limited number of attendees will have the opportunity to enhance their experience through special XR seats. These seats will utilise the Apple Vision Pro headset, allowing guests to immerse themselves in synchronised visual and CG content alongside the live performance.

To participate in the XR experience, ticket holders for the Saturday, 25 July performance must apply by 10 June. Applicants must be at least 13 years old, and winners will be selected through a random lottery. The headset cannot be worn over spectacles, and there is a possibility that the XR experience may be unavailable due to technical issues.

The festival promises to be a captivating blend of traditional and modern artistry, offering a glimpse into the future of concert experiences. Attendees can look forward to a weekend filled with cultural enrichment and technological innovation
