Korean Air and Delta Air Lines have expanded their Seamless Baggage Transfer service to include Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. This enhancement, effective from 23 June 2026, allows passengers flying from Incheon International Airport to bypass the hassle of retrieving and rechecking their luggage during US transfers, saving up to 20 minutes.

The service, powered by International Remote Baggage Screening technology, screens checked baggage before arrival in the US, enabling passengers to proceed directly to their connecting gates. This expansion brings the total number of US gateways offering the service to five, including Atlanta, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Detroit.

Since its introduction on the Incheon–Atlanta route in August 2025, the service has significantly improved passenger convenience, reducing customs interactions by over 65%. Kwangho Ko, Senior Vice President at Korean Air, stated, “Our joint venture with Delta continues to strengthen connections between Korea and the United States.”

Jeff Moomaw, Vice President – Asia Pacific at Delta Air Lines, added, “By expanding this service to Seattle and Los Angeles, we enable customers to move through US airports more efficiently.”
