Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is celebrating the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival with a distinctive mooncake collection themed "Fire Horse." This year's collection, which blends artistry and tradition, features a collaboration with Artstory By Autistic Thai, a social enterprise supported by the Autistic Thai Foundation.
The collection's centrepiece is an original illustration by Anusone “Mix” Tunarin, an artist from Artstory.
The Kimpton Signature Mooncake Box, designed as a keepsake, is shaped like a sculptural horseshoe, symbolising fortune, strength, and protection. The box's vibrant colours—ember red, metallic gold, and deep espresso brown—enhance its appeal. Each box contains four mooncakes, selected from a menu of five flavours that mix classic and innovative tastes: Durian with Melon Seed & Egg Yolk, Custard, Caramel Latte & Almond, Sesame Chocolate Mochi, and Savoury Chicken Floss & Chilli Paste.
This collaboration not only highlights the creativity of artists with autism but also supports the community through the Autistic Thai Foundation. The mooncake collection is a testament to the power of art in fostering inclusivity and celebrating cultural traditions
