Happitat has announced the opening of its New Global Landmark of Happiness on 21 August 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
This innovative destination is designed to infuse happiness into everyday life, moving beyond traditional commercial spaces to create a place where emotional well-being is prioritised.
The concept, known as the Happiness Movement, seeks to transform destinations from mere places of visitation to environments that actively cultivate happiness. Orada Kerdhong, President of Axtra Happitat Co Ltd, stated, "Our mission is to create a world-class happiness destination where happiness is at the heart of everything we do—from architecture and design to every experience we curate."
Happitat's design incorporates the 7 Magical Happiness framework, which includes elements such as nature immersion and imaginative experiences. The destination is masterplanned by Foster & Partners, in collaboration with FP Thailand, TK Studio, and Atelier Ten. It features a seamless integration of architecture and nature, including a 30-rai urban forest known as Bangna's Urban Lung.
The destination also boasts the Whimsical Market, a fantasy-inspired area with over 60 curated cafés and restaurants, and Lumis Theatre Hall, a venue for performances and exhibitions. Additionally, Happitat offers a culinary experience with a collection of restaurants by Michelin-starred chefs, setting a new benchmark for culinary excellence in Thailand.
Happitat aims to redefine the future of destination creation by focusing on happiness-led experiences, promising visitors meaningful moments and lasting memories
