American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has announced a suite of new capabilities aimed at enhancing travel management efficiency and traveller experience. These updates, revealed at the GBTA Convention, focus on providing real-time programme oversight and seamless travel benefits integration.
The enhancements include an AI-powered Travel Manager Dashboard for Egencia customers, offering real-time insights and programme effectiveness scoring. This dashboard is designed to streamline data management, eliminating the need for manual reporting. "The business travel value conversation is shifting from ‘how much did we spend’ to ‘what did that travel enable'," said Drew Crawley, President of Amex GBT.
For travellers, the Complete mobile app now features end-to-end disruption management, allowing users to manage trip changes and access live support directly from their devices. Additionally, the integration of loyalty benefits and negotiated rates into the booking process aims to simplify the travel experience.
Amex GBT's Guest Travel & Expense (T&E) platform has also been expanded, offering new capabilities such as a per-event travel policy builder and simplified guest bookings. This platform is set to become available in Australia by Q4 2026, with further expansion planned for Singapore, Belgium, France, and Germany.
Evan Konwiser, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Amex GBT, highlighted the company's commitment to innovation: "We're committed to making every part of the managed travel experience smarter, simpler, and more connected."
These developments underscore Amex GBT's ongoing investment in technology to support travel managers and enhance the traveller experience
