Aer Lingus has announced its inaugural transatlantic Avios-Only flight, offering an exclusive service from Dublin to New York to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its loyalty programme, AerClub. This marks the first time the airline has extended its Avios-Only concept across the Atlantic, allowing members to purchase seats solely with Avios, the airline's reward currency.
The flights, departing Dublin on 13 November and returning from New York on 17 November, are available to AerClub members starting at 23,400 Avios plus taxes and fees for Economy, and 90,000 Avios for Business Class. This special offer includes a 10% discount on Avios prices, celebrating a decade of AerClub's success in rewarding loyalty.
Since its inception in 2016, AerClub has grown to over four million members worldwide, providing value through Avios collection and redemption across travel and everyday purchases. The introduction of this transatlantic Avios-Only flight is a testament to the programme's evolution and its commitment to offering unique travel rewards.
Chief Customer Officer of Aer Lingus, Susanne Carberry, highlighted the significance of this milestone: “Our first Avios-Only flights to New York JFK mark a step forward in highlighting the value of AerClub and how it can deliver unique travel rewards.”
Adam Daniels, CEO of IAG Loyalty, added: “To be taking the offering transatlantic is testament to its popularity and success amongst AerClub members.”
Bookings for this exclusive flight are now open, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Aer Lingus Rewards Website
