airBaltic aircraft now a canvas for Estonian flag

Due to the growing popularity of airBaltic services in Estonia, airBaltic completed the paintwork on one of its Airbus A220-300 aircraft at Magnetic MRO facilities at Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport. Now, airBaltic’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft registered as YL-CSJ is carrying the colours of the Estonian flag and the name of its capital – Tallinn.
Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic said, “We see a very strong demand from the Estonian market and the number of passengers who travel with us continue to grow each month. airBaltic team is honoured to present a special gift to its Estonian passengers. Now we are bringing the name of Estonia across the world as the colours of the Estonian flag will proudly wave above our heads high in the skies.”
To create this artwork, 15 professional painters worked for 1 000 hours. In total, 250 litres of primer, paint and lacquer were used to cover the aircraft, which constitutes the layer of 120 microns or 0.12 mm.
During the first five months of 2019, airBaltic has transported over 210 000 passengers to and from Estonia. The airline has carried 31% more passengers in Estonia to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East than during the same period last year.
airBaltic offers the best connectivity to and from Tallinn, fostering better business relations and more leisure travel opportunities to and from the Estonian capital. Following growing local demand, airBaltic has been increasing its presence in Estonia, by adding more direct destinations from Tallinn Airport. By launching three new direct routes this year, airBaltic now offers a total of 12 direct services from Tallinn.
