Royal Caribbean's recent survey, conducted by YouGov, highlights a growing interest among Asian travellers in European cruise holidays, with 74% finding the concept appealing. The survey, which included participants from Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, underscores a preference for multi-destination cruises as a convenient way to explore Europe.

Indonesia leads the interest at 82%, followed by the Philippines at 75%, Malaysia at 70%, India at 67%, and Singapore at 66%. The findings coincide with the debut of Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas, part of the Icon Class, offering Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona and Rome.

The survey reveals that 87% of respondents find parts of traditional travel stressful, with flight delays and cancellations (51%), long layovers (38%), and the hassle of packing and unpacking (34%) being the top concerns. Cruises offer a solution, with 42% appreciating the ease of visiting multiple destinations, 38% valuing the avoidance of airport processes, and 35% enjoying reduced packing needs.

Ben Bouldin, President of Greater China and Managing Director, Asia, Royal Caribbean, noted, “Travellers are increasingly looking for holidays that are seamless, enriching, and full of adventure. Legend of the Seas offers Asian travellers a more accessible way to experience Europe without compromising on the holiday experience.”

The survey also highlights a strong interest in onboard entertainment and dining experiences, with features like America’s Got Talent LIVE and the Royal Railway dining experience attracting significant attention. As cruise travel continues to rise in popularity, Royal Caribbean's offerings provide a compelling option for those seeking a stress-free European adventure.
