BANGKOK, Thailand — A new pathway from the classroom to Walt Disney World Resort has opened for students at Assumption University of Thailand following a landmark agreement signed on 23 July, 2026.

The university’s School of Arts signed a Memorandum of Understanding with London House, the official representative of Disney International Programs. The agreement will enable eligible students studying languages and international business to pursue internships at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, United States.

The agreement marked the first time in 18 years that Disney had permitted its official representative to sign an MoU with an educational institution.

The agreement was signed by Dr Chayada Thanavisuth, Dean of the Theodore Maria School of Arts, and Ms Rochanaporn Trisilp, Managing Director of London House.

For students, the partnership offers more than the chance to add an international name to their résumés. It provides exposure to the daily operations, service standards and multicultural working environment of one of the world’s best-known tourism and entertainment destinations.

The experience is expected to help participating students strengthen their professional English, intercultural communication, international business knowledge and confidence in working with guests and colleagues from different backgrounds.

Supporting Thailand’s Next Generation of Global Talent

During the signing ceremony, London House presented a THB 50,000 sponsorship fund to the School of Arts. The fund will support students participating in the Walt Disney World internship program.

The partnership comes as tourism and hospitality employers increasingly seek graduates who can combine technical knowledge with communication skills, cultural awareness and practical international experience.

For Thailand’s tourism sector, programs of this kind also help prepare young professionals to understand service delivery from a global perspective before bringing that experience back to classrooms, workplaces and destinations at home.

Following the ceremony, AU students attended a detailed briefing covering program eligibility, the application process, available roles at Walt Disney World Resort and strategies for preparing for Disney interviews.
