Azamara Onward Set For 2027 Makeover Under ‘Azamara Forward’

Azamara Cruises has confirmed that Azamara Onward will enter a two‑week drydock in November 2027 as part of Azamara Forward, the line’s most extensive fleetwide enhancement program to date.

Following Azamara Quest’s lead, the small‑ship favourite will receive upgraded dining, entertainment and accommodation spaces designed to emphasise personalisation, elevated comfort and deeper connections with each destination. More details about the program are available at https://www.azamara.com/azamara-forward.

Across both ships, the project will transform nightlife venues, introduce a dedicated Chef’s Table restaurant, reimagine Discoveries Restaurant and debut a refreshed Atlas Bar. The Cabaret Lounge will be fully redesigned, while staterooms, suites and key public areas will be updated to match the line’s new look and feel. One structural element—the new Penthouse Deck with Grandview and Panorama Suites—remains exclusive to Azamara Quest and will not be added to Azamara Onward, preserving a subtle distinction within the four‑ship fleet.

Italy Debut, Mediterranean Season & Caribbean Ahead

Once its drydock is complete, Azamara Onward will showcase its Azamara Forward enhancements on a seven‑night Italy Intensive voyage, scheduled to depart 25 November 2027 from Athens to Rome. This first post‑refit cruise, opening for bookings on 7 April 2026, will give guests an early look at the refreshed venues and upgraded suites while exploring classic Italian ports in Azamara’s destination‑focused style.

After debuting the new look, Azamara Onward will continue to sail a series of Mediterranean itineraries before crossing the Atlantic later in the season to begin a run of Caribbean voyages. Timelines for sister ships Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit to enter drydock for their own Azamara Forward upgrades will be announced at a later date, as the line rolls out its multi‑year investment across the full fleet.
