TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

The British Pullman, a Belmond Train, is set to launch its new private dining and events carriage, 'Celia', in May 2026. Designed by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Oscar-winning designer Catherine Martin, 'Celia' promises to redefine luxury train travel with its bespoke offerings. The carriage, seating up to 12 guests, features a dining area, lounge, bar, and kitchen, transforming into a theatrical space for performances.

Inspired by the British countryside and Shakespearean themes, 'Celia' embodies the narrative of Luhrmann's fictional muse, Celia, a West End leading lady. The interiors, crafted by British artisans, include marquetry, parquet floors, and a fabric-covered ceiling to enhance acoustics. The design evokes a cinematic atmosphere, with elements like velvet curtains and naval-style windows.

Guests will enjoy a personalised experience with a guest experience curator, tailored menus, and private luxury transfers from London hotels. The journey begins with champagne in the bar lounge, followed by a three-course meal featuring modern twists on classic English dishes. Monica Berg, co-founder of Tayer + Elementary, has curated an exclusive cocktail list for the carriage.

Gary Franklin, Senior Vice President of Trains & Cruises at Belmond, remarked, “Celia introduces an entirely new kind of private dining experience.” The carriage offers unique offboard experiences, including VIP access to exclusive UK landmarks. Prices for exclusive use of 'Celia' start from $18,000 (£15,000), including transfers within Greater London
