Alderman James Vos, the City of Cape Town's Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, highlighted the city's enthusiasm, stating, “The City eagerly welcomes the return of Converge Africa to Cape Town. Communities all across the continent are exceptionally active in the e-commerce space, whether as businesses or consumers.”

Converge Africa 2026 is expected to attract over 1,400 attendees from more than 700 organisations, offering a platform for collaboration and innovation. The event will focus on five key areas: Payments & Fintech, eCommerce, Digital Marketing, Fulfilment & Logistics, and Digital Security.
