Celine Dion’s Paris concerts boost flight searches Paris, France, 24 August 2026. Paris je t'aime (Paris I love you) in big golden letters on the riverbank of the Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Celine Dion's much-anticipated return to the stage with a 16-date residency in Paris has sparked a significant increase in international travel interest. According to Amadeus Travel Intelligence, flight searches to Paris have surged by 11% compared to the same period last year, with bookings up by 5%. Dion's concerts, scheduled from 12 September to 17 October, mark her first full performances in over six years.

The Americas lead in both search and booking traffic, with the United States accounting for 26.5% of search demand and 26.85% of bookings. Brazil and Canada follow, contributing to nearly 45% of global search traffic growth. Notably, Mexico and Brazil have seen a 38% and 30% increase in bookings, respectively, compared to last year.

In the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, Japan emerges as a significant market, ranking second in bookings to Paris during Dion's residency. Australia, South Korea, and India also feature prominently, collectively representing 18.4% of travellers from the region. Thailand stands out with a remarkable 200% growth in bookings year-on-year.

European interest is also notable, with Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom among the top origin countries for searches. However, these do not always translate into bookings, with European travellers accounting for just over 5% of the booking share.

Domestically, Southern France cities dominate air travel bookings to Paris, with Toulouse, Nice, and Ajaccio leading. The concerts are also influencing longer stays, as medium-length hotel bookings in Paris have increased by 6% compared to last year.

Celine Dion's residency is part of a broader trend where cultural icons drive travel growth, as seen with other artists like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. This phenomenon, termed "Culture Tripping," highlights how major cultural events are shaping travel plans worldwide.
