The legacy behind SITTF
Organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), the much esteemed Sharjah Hospitality Forum (SHF) has proven to be a key pillar of the successful expansion of the travel and tourism industry in the emirate of Sharjah.
Aimed at strengthening the hospitality and tourism sector which is so important for economic growth, and showing future trends in specialisation, technology and sustainability, the SHF has been facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge to gain insights that will benefit the future of tourism in the region. The last seven editions have focused on various aspects of tourism and brought together leading experts and tourism industry professionals for discussions on tourism and how to create and manage successful business opportunities.
Last year, SHF 2020, the seventh edition of SHF, was held virtually for the first time due to Covid-19. It highlighted the emerging tourism, hospitality and travel challenges and opportunities in a post-pandemic era and discussed the best and fastest recovery path for the emirate’s tourism sector. The event also showcased the most successful tourism projects and the latest innovations that are driving tourism recovery.
2021 will see the SHF open this year with a new name reflective of the evolution and advancement of the sector in the emirate with SITTF 2021.
